Coast Jobs Partners with King David Empire to Equip Coastal Youth with Project Management Skills

Coast Jobs and King David Empire partnership signing

In an exciting and transformative move, Coast Jobs has officially partnered with King David Empire to launch a bold, impact-driven training initiative for youth in Kenya's coastal region. The program, known as the Step Forward Project, aims to train, equip, and empower young people with in-demand project management skills that lead to employment—both locally and globally.

About the Partners

Coast Jobs

A youth-centered platform that connects job seekers in Kenya's coastal counties with real employment opportunities. Since its inception, Coast Jobs has been helping young people find jobs, access mentorship, and improve their visibility in the job market.

King David Empire

A leading training and consultancy provider of professional development and certification programs. With a track record of delivering results, they specialize in high-impact training, including globally recognized certifications such as PRINCE2®.

What the Partnership Aims to Achieve

Together, Coast Jobs and King David Empire are creating pathways to employment through world-class training and ongoing support.

  • Train over 100 coastal youth in project management and related skills by the end of 2025
  • Offer globally recognized certifications like PRINCE2®, increasing employability
  • Provide laptops and training materials to the participants
  • Use a Train-Now-Pay-Later model, so students pay only after securing a job
  • Offer ongoing mentorship and job placement support after training

Why This Matters

The coastal region of Kenya continues to face high rates of youth unemployment, with more than 35% of young people struggling to find decent work. At the same time, the global demand for certified project managers continues to rise, with the Project Management Institute (PMI) estimating that 2.3 million new project-related roles will be needed each year through 2030.

This partnership bridges that gap by giving youth the tools they need to succeed: skills, certification, technology, and a path to employment.
