Job Description

SHOFCO Women Empowerment Program (SWEP) Assistant – Reliever (Kaloleni)
  • The SWEP Assistant will support the SWEP Coordinator in strengthening and expanding the SHOFCO Women Empowerment Program (SWEP). The role focuses on implementing sustainable livelihood initiatives that empower women through entrepreneurship, skills development, and income-generating opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  1.  Program Planning & Implementation
  • Support the planning, execution, and evaluation of program activities aligned with SHOFCO’s strategy
  • Track activity schedules to ensure timely and quality delivery
  • Monitor program progress and maintain strong engagement with women beneficiaries
  • Facilitate intake, assessment, referral, and follow-up of SWEP members
  • Identify, recruit, and build the capacity of program participants
2. Sales, Marketing & Product Management
  • Promote SWEP products, including supporting online sales and marketing efforts
  • Participate in exhibitions, trade fairs, and promotional events
  • Maintain accurate sales records and data
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback
3. Product Development & Quality Control
  • Support the development of new product designs
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained and orders are delivered on time
  • Monitor availability of supplies and initiate procurement requests
  • Ensure equipment and machines are well maintained and serviced
4. Training & Beneficiary Support
  • Foster an entrepreneurial mindset among participants
  • Identify training needs and support facilitation of workshops
  • Link beneficiaries with mentorship, skills development, and networking opportunities
  • Organize and support group activities such as VSLA/table banking meetings
5. Resource & Budget Support
  • Assist in tracking resource utilization against approved budgets
  • Support preparation of monthly production payroll
  • Identify and explore partnership opportunities with relevant stakeholders
6. Additional Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper documentation and storage of beneficiary data (e.g., Google Drive)
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Diploma in Project Management, Business, Entrepreneurship, Social Work, or a related field with at least 1 year of experience, OR
  • Certificate in a relevant field with at least 2 years of experience
  • Any additional relevant qualifications will be an added advantage
