- Work Setup: 80% field, 20% office
- Compensation: Competitive + performance-based commission
Role Overview
- The Sales Officer will be responsible for market intelligence, buyer engagement, and executing timber sales within farmer networks. The role involves working closely with internal teams to ensure efficient, transparent, and compliant sales processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather market intelligence on timber demand, pricing, and trends
- Identify, vet, and manage buyer relationships
- Maintain and update buyer database and ensure compliance
- Manage the sales process from offer to execution
- Track bids, coordinate payments, and maintain sales records
- Support after-sales processes and gather buyer feedback
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in sales (forestry, agribusiness, or related field preferred)
- Strong ability to meet targets in fast-paced environments
- Familiarity with digital tools for data and performance tracking
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
- High integrity, adaptability, and ability to work in rural field settings
