  1. Resident Medical Officer
  2. Graduate Trainee Optometrist 

Resident Medical Officer (Reports to: Hospital Administrator)
  • The Resident Medical Officer plays a central role in providing efficient, high-quality clinical care across outpatient and inpatient services, ensuring accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and continuity of care. The role includes active participation in on-call services, responding to consultations and emergencies to ensure uninterrupted service delivery and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct outpatient consultations and manage inpatients through ward rounds
  • Handle medical emergencies, stabilize patients, and refer cases appropriately
  • Perform surgical procedures within scope and provide pre- and post-operative care
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready patient records
  • Respond to emergencies and provide on-call clinical support
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and support junior staff
  • Adhere to clinical protocols, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Support hospital operations including medical camps and special clinics

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB)
  • Valid KMPDC registration, practicing license, and indemnity
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a busy hospital setting
  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient management skills
  • Ability to handle emergencies and work under pressure
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and teamwork


Graduate Trainee Optometrist (Reports to: Ophthalmologist)
  • The Graduate Trainee Optometrist supports the provision of quality eye care services through supervised clinical practice, assisting in eye examinations, patient care, and documentation while building practical skills and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in eye examinations, vision assessments, and diagnosis of common conditions
  • Support the prescribing and dispensing of eyeglasses and lenses
  • Maintain accurate and organized patient records
  • Guide and educate patients on eye care and procedures
  • Support clinic operations, patient flow, and outreach programs
  • Work closely with optometrists and participate in training sessions
  • Adhere to clinical protocols, confidentiality, and professional standards

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Diploma or Certificate in Optometry
  • Valid practicing license
  • Recent graduate or minimal experience
  • Basic clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Strong communication and patient handling skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and work under supervision
  • High level of professionalism and integrity
