Job Description
The East Africa Market Development Associates (EAMDA) is a leading research, program implementation, and market development company working across multiple sectors and agricultural value chains in Africa. We design and execute development programs in partnership with government, private sector organizations, and community actors.We are hiring Regional Coordinators for a major 5-year national program:Financial Inclusion for Youths and MSMEs in Agriculture, an ambitious initiative that strengthens youth-led enterprises, farmer organizations, value chain systems, and access to affordable finance.

ABOUT THE ROLE
- The Regional Coordinator will lead EAMDA’s enterprise development, youth engagement, and market systems activities in their designated region. This is a leadership role overseeing county teams, supporting MSMEs, coordinating partners, and ensuring high-quality delivery of program outputs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Regional Leadership & Coordination
- Lead planning and execution of regional field activities.
- Supervise business advisors, field officers, and other team members.
- Maintain strong engagement with county officials, partners, and community stakeholders.
- Ensure targets, standards, and implementation plans are met.
- Provide coaching, capacity building, and business advisory support to youth-led businesses.
- Facilitate enterprise assessments and growth planning.
- Promote sound financial practices, better operations, and market readiness.
- Support market research, cluster coordination, and value chain strengthening.
- Build linkages between enterprises, buyers, financiers, and other market actors.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, technology use, and improved productivity.
- Serve as the regional representative to county governments, private sector associations, cooperatives, and local organizations.
- Organize stakeholder forums, networking events, and learning sessions.
- Track progress, collect quality data, and report on regional activities.
- Prepare reports, success stories, and learning briefs.
- Flag risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage logistics for training, field travel, and events.
- Oversee documentation, budgets, and compliance.
- Promote teamwork and a strong performance culture.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Economics, Development Studies, or related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in agribusiness, youth programs, enterprise development, or market systems.
- Strong track record working with MSMEs, county governments, cooperatives, or community groups.
- Proven team management and multi-county coordination experience.
- Strong facilitation, training, and community engagement skills.
- Ability to travel and work in dynamic field environments.
Added Advantage
- Experience in value chain development or financial inclusion.
- Understanding of county-level dynamics in the target region.
- Fluency in relevant local languages.
