Job Description
Youth for Integrity Building (YIB), with support from Leading Well Network, is seeking a Project Coordinator to oversee the implementation of Kilifi Youth Dialogues 2.0. This is a youth-led initiative designed to create safe, inclusive, and accountable spaces where young people engage leaders and strengthen civic participation in Kilifi County. The project applies an innovative approach that blends peer-to-peer learning, intergenerational wisdom-sharing, and Ubuntu values to address social justice, integrity, governance, and youth leadership.

Role Purpose
- The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of Kilifi Youth Dialogues 2.0. The role focuses on effective coordination of activities, accountability tracking, stakeholder engagement, and reporting. Strong organizational, facilitation, and community engagement skills are essential. The Project Coordinator serves as the central link between youth facilitators, volunteers, stakeholders, and the donor, supporting effective project delivery and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management & Coordination
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and implementation of all project activities
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, deliverables, and donor requirements
- Coordinate the onboarding and supervision of youth facilitators and volunteers
- Map and engage key stakeholders, including youth, leaders, CSOs, county officials, and marginalized groups
- Maintain consistent communication to promote inclusivity and participation
- Support the planning and delivery of dialogue sessions, ensuring accessibility for all participants
- Support the administration and follow-up of the Accountability Scorecard during each dialogue
- Track commitments made by leaders and youth and report on progress
- Compile accountability findings for mid-term and final donor reports
- Ensure systematic documentation of project outputs, including meeting notes, photos, videos, and testimonials
- Contribute to digital storytelling outputs to amplify dialogue outcomes
- Draft project reports, updates, and donor communications
- Support reflection sessions with facilitators and stakeholders
- Document lessons learned and success stories to inform future programming
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Diploma in community development, governance, social sciences, or a related field
- At least two (2) years’ experience in project coordination, youth engagement, or community mobilization
- Strong facilitation, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and report-writing skills
- Familiarity with the Kilifi County context and youth-related issues
