Job Description
G for Girls Initiative is excited to announce an opportunity for 5–6 passionate teachers (at least 4 female candidates preferred) to join our Literacy Project across 5 schools in Vanga Ward. Each teacher will support approximately 80 learners per school to build strong reading and writing skills through play-based and creative learning approaches. 📚✨We are looking for young, vibrant individuals who believe every child deserves the chance to thrive and transition confidently to the next level of literacy.

- Engagement Period: 25 days
- Stipend: KES 15,000 (exclusive of transport)
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Education
- Minimum Grade C (Plain) in English
- Registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC)
- Not currently employed

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Problem-solving mindset
- No prior experience required — just a willingness to learn and make impact!
Key Responsibilities
- Assess learners to determine literacy levels using provided tools
- Deliver engaging and child-centered literacy sessions
- Adapt teaching methods to encourage participation and inclusion
- Monitor and report individual learner progress in reading and writing
