Job Description
Mombasa Container Terminal (MCT) is a strategic subsidiary of Africa Global Logistics (AGL), located at the Port of Mombasa, Kenya. The terminal serves as a critical gateway for regional and international trade, supporting the movement of imports and exports for Kenya and neighboring countries, including Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, parts of Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient cargo operations, strong customer relationships, and strict adherence to established procedures and systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Cargo Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare and submit daily reports on container status, cargo documentation, and shipment progress.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of documentation to the manifest and documentation teams to support cargo lodging and transfers.
- Maintain schedules and reports for empty containers, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely return to depots.
- Track shipments and confirm manifest numbers through ICMS and/or shipping lines.
- Monitor vessel schedules, including arrival, berthing, and departure, and communicate updates to internal teams.
- Provide daily container receipt and exit status updates to shipping lines at the Container Freight Station (CFS).
- Keep clients informed on consignment status, including vessel arrival, discharge, and exit timelines.
- Advise existing and prospective clients on cargo handling procedures to promote utilization of the CFS.
- Follow up with clients to maintain strong working relationships and support business growth.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries, ensuring timely resolution of concerns.
- Record, track, and address customer complaints, escalating issues when necessary.
- Log and follow up on operational challenges raised by internal teams.
- Maintain records of authorized vehicles operating within the facility.
- Ensure all customer service activities comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding or a related field.
- Knowledge of ICMS/KWATOS is an added advantage.
- At least two (2) years of relevant experience in shipping, clearing and forwarding, or logistics.
