Pwani University is seeking a dedicated and ethical Audit Assistant II to join its Internal Audit team. This role supports the University’s assurance and compliance functions by contributing to financial, operational, and systems audits.
Minimum Requirements
  • Academic Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or an equivalent business-related field from a recognized university.
  • Professional Qualifications
  • CPA II (Section 3) or an equivalent professional level.
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Experience
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Finance or Audit within a large or busy organization.
  • Must demonstrate integrity, independence, strong analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Key Audit Exposure & Competencies
  • Candidates should have practical experience in:
  • Supporting different types of audits (financial, operational, compliance).
  • Preparing audit working papers and properly filing audit documentation.
  • Conducting asset verification exercises.
  • Reviewing records, conducting audit inquiries, and carrying out substantive audit tests.
  • Preparing audit schedules and gathering audit evidence.
  • Executing assigned audit tasks with accuracy and professionalism.
