Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the preparation of the financial statements as and when required.
- Ensure timely posting of journals and preparation of bank reconciliations and control accounts (e.g. Cash Controls, Suspense etc.)
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
- Custodian of all accounting documents.
- Verify accounting documents under the assigned section.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business with specialization in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- CPA (K).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as Accounts Assistant.
- Registered with a professional body.
- Accounts Assistant (1 Position)

- Reporting to: Campus Registrar, Administration, Finance & Marketing
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure billing are done correctly.
- Posting student payment
- Perform daily reconciliation of receipts and prepare cash flow statements.
- Conduct daily banking of cheques received.
- Verify compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Process backup reports after data entry.
- Manage weekly cheque runs and prepare collection reports.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business with specialization in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- CPA Part II.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Student Recruitment Officer (1 Position)
- Station: Malindi ODEL Centre
- Reporting to: Centre Coordinator, Malindi ODEL Centre
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Represent MKU in outreach visits to prospective students and parents.
- Develop, coordinate and deliver outreach programs and marketing strategies, arrange visits and tours for prospective students and parents
- Serve as the focal contact for internal coordination of recruitment and enrollment coordination.
- Develop promotional materials and manage resource distribution.
- Prepare recruitment reports and proposals.
- Develop mentorship programs and analyze recruitment trends.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Higher National Diploma/Diploma in a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
- ICT Trainer (1 Position)
- Station: Equip Africa Institute, Mombasa Campus
- Reporting to: Centre Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and teach assigned ICT units as per the curriculum.
- Develop and maintain learning materials and student records.
- Assess students’ performance and monitor progress.
- Conduct practical training sessions and maintain evidence portfolios.
- Supervise students during assessments and ensure course compliance.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in ICT or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience in both theory and practical.
- Knowledge of TVET Act 2013 and CBET curriculum.
- Valid Technical Trainer registration by TVETA.
- Driver (2 Positions)
- Station: Mombasa Campus
- Reporting to: Transport Officer / Campus Registrar (Administration, Finance & Marketing)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive university vehicles as assigned in a safe and responsible manner.
- Ensure vehicles are well-maintained, serviced, and kept clean.
- Maintain accurate trip logs and fuel records.
- Comply with all traffic regulations and university transport policies.
- Assist in delivery and logistical duties when required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must possess KCSE Certificate
- Clean Valid class B C E and PSV driving license.
- Must posses a Certificate of Good conduct
- Minimum 7 years’ accident-free driving experience.
- Must possess a certificate in First Aid from a recognized institution
- Must possess Occupational Trade Teest II for drivers
- Lifeguard / Pool Attendant (1 Position)
- Station: Malindi ODEL Centre
- Reporting to: Centre Coordinator
- Monitor swimmers and trainees in the pool area to ensure safety at all times
- Respond promptly to emergencies
- Supervise and ensure the safety of all pool users.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper hygiene of the swimming pool area.
- Monitor water quality and report maintenance needs.
- Provide first aid and emergency response when necessary.
- Enforce pool safety rules and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum KCSE Certificate or Diploma in a relevant field
- STCW Certificate
- Lifeguard Certification from a recognized body (eg, Kenya Life Saving Federation, Red Cross Kenya, YMCA) including training in water rescue and safety.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Proven swimming proiciency with a certification from a recognized body
- Basic training or experience in pool maintenance and hygiene
- At least 2 - 3 years’ experience as a Lifeguard or in poolside supervison, pool cleaning, equipment handling
Added Advantage
- Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boat
- Advance Fire Fighting Certificate
